Some people felt that Shiner had changed. That it had gotten too big and too corporate. And that led to rumors that the little Texas brewery had sold out to new owners and that its beer was no longer even brewed in Shiner. (All untrue.)

Premium swag should in fact be premium. And ours was. From trucker hats to charms to big belt buckles, people were clamoring to get their hands on this stuff.
