Some people felt that Shiner had changed. That it had gotten too big and too corporate. And that led to rumors that the little Texas brewery had sold out to new owners and that its beer was no longer even brewed in Shiner. (All untrue.)

A hand-illustrated microsite housed a running database of all the bars in Chicago where people could buy a Shiner. Visitors peeled back a Shiner Bock label to get details about the launch.
